INCENTIVE PROGRAMS

Heart of the City and Brownfield Community Improvement Plans – Information on the various financial incentives available to those who are looking to upgrade commercial properties or brownfield sites in certain areas of the City. The Community Improvement Plans are offered by the City of Cornwall.

Renaissance Housing Rehabilitation Program – Renaissance Housing Rehabilitation Program offers financial assistance to property owners in the Renaissance targeted areas. The program is aimed at improving the existing housing inventory. All budgets for the RHRP are subject to City Council approval.

Cotton Mill Lofts – Official website for the new $12-million condo development being built at the corner of McConnell Avenue and Cotton Mill Street, south of Le Village.

Cotton Mills Cornwall – Official website for the planned $45-million residential and commercial development in the cotton mills district of Cornwall, south of Le Village.

Centre culturel de Cornwall – The Centre culturel works to support and promote the Francophone community and culture in Cornwall and Stormont, Dundas and South Glengarry.

St. Lawrence College – Official website for the Cornwall campus of St. Lawrence College, located east of Le Village.

St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences The St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences is a non-government organization dedicated to education and research on large river ecosystems. The river institute is located on the Cornwall campus of St. Lawrence College, just east of Le Village.

The 506 – The 506 is the name of the new youth clubhouse operated by the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall / SDG at the corner of First and Marlborough streets.

Groupe Renaissance Group – Groupe Renaissance Group is a not-for-profit organization that promotes rejuvenation of the City of Cornwall through projects such as the World Changers and Group Workcamps visits.

Heart of the City – Heart of the City (HOTC) is a not-for-profit organization that supports revitalization efforts in Cornwall’s urban core.

Centretown Cornwall – Centretown Cornwall is a HOTC-sponsored revitalization project focused on four key areas – economic development, organizational development, marketing and promotions and physical improvements.

Downtown Business Improvement Area – The DBIA represents businesses in the Pitt Street area of Cornwall.

Cornwall and Seaway Valley Tourism – Cornwall and Seaway Valley Tourism works with tourism businesses to promote Cornwall and the Seaway Valley as a visitor and convention destination.
